I would bet if you follow the Direct tv reciever's 'how to wire' set up
you will have everything you need without using the gateway selector
box. also if direct tv is your sat provider, you can order a radio
control reciever where you will not need line of sight to the direct tv
box and you can use the remote outside to control the bay tv even with
the coach door closed. Radio Shack has those box's for less tha $20.

We use our video control center to control seven inputs to two outputs.
We have a TV in the bedroom and a TV in the living room. I need to able
to control roof antenna, satellite one, satellite two, cable one, cable
two, DVR and video tape independently, for the two TVs. Regarding the
Dish TV receiver's "how to wire" set up -- I found that a little
inadequate.
