Dinghy Odometer Reading - revisit
George,
Thanks for the suggestion, I will inspect console for a key slot. My wife's 1990 Acura was the last year for the first body style and they made a lot of changes in 1991, hope the key slot isn't one of them. I checked car and it does have the slot which does let me position the ignition key in lock position without locking steering wheel, but with a speedometer cable it might not matter. I suspect the 1991 on Acuras have electronic speed sensors instead of a cable. Hope springs eternal and I will give it a try when my daughter and I shove off for summer long trip. Thanks for response. Just checked with Edythe and she said that she puts the key in a slot on the console next to the shifter and moves the shifter from park to neutral; Then takes the key out and puts it in the ignition and turns it to the first click. Hers was a '92 Accord but those Hondas are all about the same. Something to check anyway....
