parking brake or trnasmission Help

Is your fluid low? Is your dipstick original? Sometimes with the 5 speed you have to let the pump-pump up in the tranny or it won't move. I have had this for years. The tranny is fine but wants aboput 30 seconds of "higher" rpm to get its wits about it. You can check the brakes/parking pressure switvh and its relay by putting the engine in high idle. when the brakes or parking is applied, the engine won't go in to high idle. there is a high idle killer on the tranny shifter also but it won't affect the tranny. I dont know how electronic the set up is but make sure the rpm are low when you shift. check that nothing is on the tps which usually is the fuel pedal (floormat). Reset the park brake to park/hold go to rear drive duels and listen for the brakes to let off when someone in the cab releases the brake. when you reset the park brake to hold/park you should hear the GHUSH dump of air sound. if not, the brakes never released.
