Need repair recommendation - So Cal / AZ
I'm currently just off Hwy 395 about 60 miles east of Bakersfield eventually
headed for Yuma. Somehow (no other scratches or scrapes) I managed to tear part of the original black water valve off. The valve needs to be replaced and is was originally apparently glued on. A previous owner had the pipe coming out of the tank wrapped in something so without a sawzall, I can't even see what I'm up against. I had the local (very small) RV place look at it and he thought there was a good chance the tank was going to have to be pulled and replaced. He recommended Stiers in Bakersfield but Bakersfield is a little out of the way. Any comments on Stiers or another suggestion would be appreciated. The most direct route to Yuma takes me through the far eastern suburbs of Los Angeles (riverside and Palm Springs). Regards, GPSGary 1984FC35SB |
