Need repair recommendation - So Cal / AZ
on domestic household plumbing repairs they make fittings that will weld/glue to
the id of old/installed fittings for repairs sake. It may be a good idea to seek the advice of a residential plumber for a repair. the repair fittings are not available at home depot and may not have ever been used by a rv tec for them to consider the advantage of their use Greg 94ptca --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "hippieforever3" > > I'm currently just off Hwy 395 about 60 miles east of Bakersfield eventually headed for Yuma. > > Somehow (no other scratches or scrapes) I managed to tear part of the original black water valve off. The valve needs to be replaced and is was originally apparently glued on. > > A previous owner had the pipe coming out of the tank wrapped in something so without a sawzall, I can't even see what I'm up against. I had the local (very small) RV place look at it and he thought there was a good chance the tank was going to have to be pulled and replaced. > > He recommended Stiers in Bakersfield but Bakersfield is a little out of the way. > > Any comments on Stiers or another suggestion would be appreciated. The most direct route to Yuma takes me through the far eastern suburbs of Los Angeles (riverside and Palm Springs). > > Regards, > GPSGary > 1984FC35SB > |
