From the FWIW category while R-12 is getting rare it is still available. If you
do a search of your local Craiglist.com you might find some. (I just searched
my local Craiglist and found ads for 7 cans. Price was $20-$40 each) I would
recommend you work with an authorized shop to ensure the system is adequately
serviced and repaired. Most of the drop in replacements are propane or butane
based and will contaminate the R-12 servicing equipment. I do not recommend
them.
