Generator Problem
I am having trouble with the genarator in my 88 pt 40. It is a yanmar. I started
it and it ran for some time normally then shut off. Now it will not start from
any of the switches, I just get a clicking noise from one of the bosch relays in
that little metal box by the gen in the foreward compartment. I replaced that
and it does the same clicking. I can start the genarator by jumping across the
starter while holding the throttle solonoid in a bit, but it stopps as soon as I
let go. I checked and there is no voltage at the solonoid while it is running.
Also there is now power in the bus while the genarator is running. Any ideas?
