Bob,

I did replace the insulation at the same time I did the engine housing. I think I still have some in the box at the storage unit. I will check for the name.

Chuck,

Did youreplace the soundproofing insulation over the generator? If so, which did you decide to use? Mine needs to be replaced soon!

I know what you mean about the generator being cramed in a small spot. I replaced my 6.5 KW Onan with a 10KW diesel and had to do some "re-arranging"!

Thanks Ralph, I kind of guessed that you would be the one to reply!

I would appreciate the picture! Usually I can figure things out, but there is no logical place for the spring I can see. I have the generator out and am trying to get every thing done by next Saturday. That’s when I have to return the pallet jack that I used to remove it and that it is currently sitting on. I would gladly pay you for it plus the shipping costs. I am not sure why they put a 12.5kw in a FC31. It is on a smaller tray than normal and is very cramped to try and work on when installed. That’s why I decided to take it out and do everything right.

One question I forgot. My high temperature cutoff sensor did not pass the test. I discovered that there are two resistance sensors installed like would be used for a temperature gauge. The cutoff should be a switch. I am guessing it would be set for 200-210 degrees. Do you have any information about the cutoff sensor?

My guess is that we will probably be out of town during the X-Mas Rally. During the holiday season Kathy’s Real Estate work slows down and we usually are travelling to visit family for the Holidays.

Hi Chuck:

Tomorrow I will take a photo of the spring location and send it.
2. Are you going to be at the X-Mas Rally? if so I will bring you a boot
for it.
3. The micro switch was an add on for some reason and not needed.

Safe travels,
