Greetings Folks,
I am in the process of trying to title and register my Blue Bird in South Dakota, however I've run in to a snag. I am in Boise Idaho and finalized the purchase last December and haven't been able to get it started since. The state of SD requires among other things a weight verification on the unit. Obviously I haven't been able to get it to a scale to fulfill this requirement and in the meantime they tell me I am allowed only 30 days from date of purchase to get it registered. After 30 days penalties and interest start accruing. It was suggested that I get verification of weight from the factory. I explained the fact that they're out of business and NADA does not list the weights in their guides. Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can supply SD with an arms-length opinion, on a weight they can use?
