You are correct. You will not see any screws on top. I have not taken my switch apart but have worked on many typical of these.
There should be a plate with the words of shore, 50 amp etc, on it, this could be moved to the top or bottom and should pop out. Underneath you will find the screws Bob is talking about.
If this does not work, I will be going to my coach tomorrow and have a look.
