1980 33' Newbie with Questions and a funny story.
I will try to answer a few of the questions, But your 80 is a little
different than my 88 FC , Redline is before an inverter was used.
It may be better to investigate replacing with a later model DC/AC
inverter.
The switch in the passenger area may be the engine block heater.

The ice maker is plugged into an outlet that is powered by the
Redline Generator or an inverter to make more ice and keep it cold
when not using shore power or when driving on the road.
The shower is like the shower in your home. Take it apart, clean it
an lubricate with silicone grease. I do not think WD40 is good for
the rubber seals.
