Tach problem
Where is the sender on an 86PT40? I've had a similar problem to Steve's for a
while. I'd like to free up the sender as well. Secondly, suddenly the last time I got out with the bird my oil temperature gauge went south and read nothing. How would I troubleshoot that gauge, where is the sender for it etc.? Lastly, there was a couple of posts on steering wheels recently. I had the unenviable experience of my wheel coming off in my hands a couple of years ago, this after crossing the great USA, and taking three maybe four trips around the east. Seems the nut wasn't torqued properly and it worked loose. I was EXTREMELY lucky that it decided to come off while I was stationary not while driving on the curves of US7 in Vermont. When I put it on, tightened the nut etc. I used locktite to seal the deal. I check the thing periodically as well, (just a little paranoid). Bob Benner on beautiful LI, having just given my daughter away at a wedding held here at the farm for 300, (we cleaned up yesterday), looking forward to a get away to Pennsy this weekend. 86PT40 --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Gary Miller" > Steve, > > You have a tach sending unit on the front of your 3208, behind the > fan.
