We just replaced all our batteries, and this is the way they are set up. They
have no problem starting the 475hp DD.

I used the Trojan T-105's, as they have had good recommendations for years in
the RV community. With the batteries, all new cables, connectors, an isolator
for the genset battery, and grinding off the 20 years of gunk and repainting
the battery tray, it cost me a few bucks over $600.

On the Newmar forums, a lot of people have good luck with Sam's Club's 6 volt
batteries. They are cheaper than the T-105's too.
