no hot water
Hey Bob, I just repaired the cartridges on our coach as well. One new
one and one simply cleaned and used plumbers grease..high temp and
water proof..works great now. FWIW you may want to check with MOEN..I
think they carry a lifetime warranty hence new parts covered under
warranty! A filter on the hot water line?? Hmm I think the spigots
are easier to get to than a filter would be..I would guess that an
annual "flush" of the water tank would probably take care of most
deposits..but with all the other stuff..where on the list is that!!

contamination (calcium) in the shower valve (Moen 3100). It would
only feed hot water. The balancing spool (Moen part # 1423) is a very
precise device with very close tolerances and I've cleaned it several
times. Now I'm going to order a couple of new ones (1-800-BUY-MOEN).
Johannesen's Law: If I have a spare available, it will never fail
again! Hence the nickname "Packrat". Learning about these big babies
is a never ending process.I wonder if it would be worth the time to
put a good filter just after the hot water heater?
