Hi Craig,

I had a '90 WLWB and it came new with six 12VDC deep cycle batteries.
These were wired in parallel. There is no reason why you can't use
six, 6VDC batteries wired in a "series/parallel" fashion. Each group
of two, 6VDC batteries are wired in series to give 12VDC then the
three groups of two batteries are wired in parallel to combine them
and maintain the 12VDC. The choice should be made based on comparing
the amp-hour capacity of both setups and whether you want to change
the cables.
