Curt,

I had the same problem with my $20.00 Clippard air pressure
regulator, so I bought a new one from Clippard. Within 2 weeks
the new one exhibited the same symptoms. I called Clippard and
was told that I could try dripping a few drops of air compressor
tool oil into the top of the regulator - it's been working properly
ever since.
