Turbo whistle?
Hello Thomas,
I recently had a trans temp gauge installed on our coach by an Allison service shop when they replaced our leaking hoses between the transmission and the radiator. Total cost with labor was about $300. Now we will know if we're getting into the danger zone when we start pulling a mountain pass. I think it's worth the money. Cheaper than overhauling the tranny. We would like to add a turbo boost gauge since we have no indication at this time. For what it's worth I have heard turbo whistle we we've up around 2600-2700 rpm.
