Driving Light Air piston

One of my driving lights is slow to lower and then doesn't go quite
all the way down (hence it won't come on until i push it into place).
I was trying to find a post on working on those air pistons (... What
are they called?).

Can I repair or rebuild it?

ps.. Just installed my headlight/bosch relay upgrade. I"m looking
