Drawers don't stay shut!
Pirate John:
My drawer locks(really not locks) just a securing mechanism are on the back of
the drawer. The one on the drawer is diamond shaped and goes inside a roller
type locking receptor and locks in when over center. I have also found that
both locking pins on the front of the slide must be fully engaged for the slide
to lock in. I have spread the diamond piece out some to widen it, hence a
tighter lock.
I hope this helps. Do not have any idea if yours are the same.

The drawers in the front of our 1982 PT-40 won't stay closed, and
neither will several other drawers that use that same latching
mechanism.

Does anyone have a cure? Replace the latches or the striker bar? Or
can they be bent or adjusted back to where they will hold?
