Locking Nuts on Fan
Torque is a spec that is determined by fastener diameter and thread count per
inch. Lock tite and grade 8 bolts will usually keep the fan out of the
radiator. The Cat shop manual has the torque specs.

Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] Locking Nuts on Fan

Hi Everyone,

I need to do a little work behind the fan.
Do these locking nuts need to be replaced each time they are removed??
I think they are called crush nuts.
Does anyone know the torque for the fan bolt nuts.

It would not be a pretty picture, if the fan kissed the radiator.
It would make a lot of noise.

Thanks,
