Minimal CCC that you would accept
In a large, tag axle class A, a 3000 lb. CCC is way too small -- it's way too easy to overload an axle (even if you don't exceed the 3000 lbs.) when the CCC is that low.
I suppose that a CCC of 5000+ lbs would generally be adequate for most folks -- it would give some flexibility in loading when considering the weight distribution. Personally, the more CCC (within reason) the better.
Indeed, the recent recall of 450lxi due to the front axle overload is an obvious problem that lack of CCC can have.
I note that when I'm fully loaded for a long trip, we have about 1000# of our GVWR available -- that's not a lot of margin, as filling the fresh tank without dumping the black and gray tank could put you right up to or over the GVWR without realizing it.

Hi,
If you were looking at a new tag axle coach, what would you accept as
a CCC (coach carrying capacity)
CCC is a standard term used by the RV industry and is :
GVWR    less: UVW (unloaded vehicle weight) less: Full fuel weight
less:full water  less: SCWR (sleeping capacity - 4 x 154 lbs.)  = CCC
GVWR - UVW - fuel - water(1000 lbs) - SCWR (616 lbs) = CCC
or
GVWR - wet weight - SCWR   = CCC
Before year 2000 they used NCC  net carrying capacity.
For Interest, reviewing Trailer Life, the tag axle RV's range from a
low of 3300 lbs for the Monaco Dynasty  to
9436 lbs for the Newmar Mountain Aire
The Allegro Bus is 4018 Lbs
Travel Supreme Select  6418 lbs.
Would you accept 3000 lbs.  Would you worry about resale if this was a
new coach?
