Max Fuel Flow Light
We just returned from a week long trip. The first day out, at some
point, the Max Fuel Flow light stuck on. The next two days the light came on as soon as the ignition key was turned on (even prior to starting the engine) and stayed on until we turned the engine off. The next day it worked properly at first, but after about 20 minutes stuck on again. The last two days, the light worked properly. It sounds like a sensor may be going bad? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you, Steve Johnson Grand Rapids, MI '82 FC35 |

Max Fuel Flow Light
The Max Fuel Flow light is turned on by the fuel pump / governor.
Whenever the power/fuel-flow your pedal is calling for is limited by the governor, it grounds the wire and turns on the light. The wire is connected to the top of the fuel injection pump. If it becomes shorted to ground anywhere (likely on the engine), it will turn on the light. Check the wire. Check other wires on the engine while you're in there. - Jeff Miller in Holland, MI --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Chris" wrote: > > Should my Max Fuel Flow light be on all the time? > It has been on most of the time but I have noticed it go on and off > some now. > Thanks > Chris Reed > 83 FC35 SB > Plant City, FL > |

No, it shouldn't be on all the time. It should only come on under
full load or close. The PO of my coach said the light stayed on when the air cleaner was dirty. Max Fuel Flow Light
Had to dig this one up and thank the member who helped me out of a
problem. Searching through the posts I found this on my journey as to why my "max fuel flow light" stays on. Changed the filter and now it went away. Thanks, David for your post.
