Bendix cruise control on mid 80s PT
Does anyone know where the cruise control off/on switch picks up 12
volts dc? I read only 11.6 volts at the switch and the batteries are on float at 13.6 or so. The cc worked when last I drove the coach, the end of July, and wouldn't set at all yesterday. Dick Hayden - '87 PT 38 - Lake Stevens, WA |

Also, where is the speed sensor located? I'm trying to check it's ground.
Looks like there are 2 grounds in this system, one at the control module and the other at the speed sensor. Hi Dick,
Check the right rear double tires on the inside. You should find it there. I had occasional cutouts on my cruise also. Turned out the very thin wires on the speed sensor were almost cut in half. Easy fix. Will be seening you at the Hood Canal rally in Oct. Bob Lawrence 84 PT36 Tacky Tacoma, Wa. > Also, where is the speed sensor located? I'm trying to check it's ground.
