Don,
I'm not sure...I know nothing about a check valve...is there a tank fill
switch near the shore hose hookup? That switch could be in the wrong
position. That's how it works on our '87.

Don, on my 83 the check valve is right at the water connection. I think that
some of the earlier models had separate connections for city water bypass and
fill. In either case the city water bypass connection has to have a
built-in/attached check valve to keep water from flowing out the connection.

My water connection is at the rear driver's side. Since I have a rear bath it
is in the compartment with the water heater.

Curt The 79 FC has two fill places one for the tank & one for the city
water. No switch that I know of. My 89 SP has the switch.

Bruce This one has the separate fill & city connections. I didn't know if
it had a sporlan valve besides the one in the city hook up.
Thanks Don

David
Thanks that what I thought. Don

Don,

On the 78 I had, it had the 2 connections and no Sporlan valve
anywhere on the whole coach.

Don, if you have separate connections there is no need for a sporlan valve to
direct the water flow. You may have other sporlan valves, but not one to direct
water to fill the tank. Also both water connections should have a check valve
either built in or right behind the water connection.

I believe that check valve is mounted on or near the hot water tank under the
bed. Rear Corner.
