sorry meant to put this on the last message, my bb is a 1985 35ft rb had about
8 months and love it got some small issues other than those its almost like new
inside had 84.000 when purchased and can sit for 2 months and start in less than
a second starts faster than any car ive had are they all like that or did i just
get a good motor. mike

Ive never had a motorhome and was led to believe Bluebird was a high
quality, strongly built, well finished coach worth the money. I heard

Dale,
When I was in High school and a couple of years after I worked at
a large cruiser sales outfit. Boats are really fun toys and the
destinations can be awesome. I must admit, however, that the scenery
can often be pretty monotonous. You do get to pass by some very
impressive mansions by the shoreline, but not much else. I must
admit that if I throw a line out the back of my Bluebird I don't
catch many fish, and I seldom find attractive young women in bikinis
sunning themselves on my roof. But having been there and done that,
you will find a whole new group of very interesting folks in the RV
community. In an RV you have a constantly changing view of the
countryside and a magnificent selection of routes to take to any
destination. On the negative side, the other users of the road don't
seem to abide by any intelligent rules so you need to be constantly
on the alert for potential collisions. When you are on the water all
you encounter is other boaters, when you are on land you have to
deal with everyone else.

So a solid steel Bluebird is your best defense, get one and enjoy
it.

Hi Guys...
Anyone listening in that could give a neophyte a little background on the
"BMC" version of BB? On a "desirability scale" of 1 to 10, how does it stack
up. Cost and resale value? Fill me in...there's one on ebay right now that
seems to be a good buy...is it?

Dale, the BMC was made in the 90's and it doesn't have all the bells and
whistles of a Wanderlodge. I have been in numerous BMCs and I would be proud to
own one. It has a Spartan chassis, vs the factory BB chassis.

The Spartan Chassis is lower from the floor to the ground and the chassis is not
as heavily built. Was designed to be an entry level coach to try and attract
those that were buying the proverbial SOB's. They do not contain the high end
appointments or options of the "Wanderlodge". But it is a nice coach. I would be
happy with one. Maybe even a little less complicated to work on.

I was told they used the steel framing. Maybe some more knowledgeable on this
than I will speak up. I would think the safety would compare favorably to the
"Wanderlodge". I have no experience with the ride and handling of the BMC. I
think they were made for only 3 or 4 years in the mid 90's. I don't know the
total units produced but could not be that many. I would certainly take the
factor of the limited run and resaleability of the BMC into consideration before
purchasing. The Bluebird line of school buses from which the "Wanderlodge" and
the "BMC" RV's come from is a well established name brand known across America
for there quality construction.

I have been to that site. Frankly, most of it is posts discussing how to
remove lint from your naval. Also, good research includes getting the opinion
of others with knowledge and experience. Lastly, I was thanking Howard for
his information and asking him a few more questions. I need to
find out how to answer a forum member privately if possible. Can you tell
