Still Look'n
Made a quick run to just north of Louisville over the weekend to
check out a prospect. Turned out not to be my cup of tea but got to
talk to some nice folks and learned a little more on the subject.
The BB was a seventies 31ft which was mechanically pretty good but
needed pretty much a full restoration (at least to make me happy) I
looked at the coach and figured if I got it for nothing I'd still
likely have too much to spend on it to get it right and be happy with
it. I think the chassis and drive line were OK but pretty much
everything else was pretty used. I still think I'd like the FC 31
but I am going to make an effort to do as most of you guys have
suggested and that is to travel and investigate more of them. I have
fooled around with one or two classic cars and I can certainly see
now that BB's are the same. Much better to do the research and leg
work and find what you want ready to go then to find a restoration
project. So--- That's were it stands this week. Appreciate the
help and all leads considered. John Heckman

YEP John,

We learn most from those Birds in disrepair and need a lot of work.

IF you are into traveling from Pennsylvania. There is usually a few
small Rallies in Michigan, and Wisconsin in the Summer, Perry in
November and MyrtleBeach next March. Maybe more that I do not know
about, watch the Forums for dates including, Vintagebirds.com.

Try here for a Bird located near your home town.

Bob Janes has a few Birds possibly a 77 or 79,
Maybe you can talk him into selling one of his fleet.
