Transmission "Do Not Shift" Light and Code 22 (Speed Sensor)

Leroy, I do not have any drawings of the TCM wiring or functions. I
focused on the speed sensor based on the transmission code being
flashed (22). Apparently the transmission is designed to "shut down"
and prevent shifting if it is not getting a signal from the speed
sensor. I first unplugged the sensor altogether and noted that there
was no change in symptoms. I then called an Allison shop to inquire
how to check the sensor. When I determined that it was showing a
satisfactory ohm reading, I then started rechecking the nearest
connections first and cleaning them regardless of how I though they
looked. My plan was to trace the wiring all the way back to the
TCM/ECM and check any conection I found along the way. Lucked out
that it was the first one even though it "looked" okay. I keep my
coach stored indoors, connected to shorepower at all times and use it
frequently. Even so, I guess time is not on our side in terms of the
age of some of the electrical connections. Hope this helps. David

Just for future reference. I would like to know more since I do not

I now remember that code 22 in the original post. Apparently it is a loop that
allows everything to communicate. I was wondering if cleaning those plugs might
be a possible PM item to prevent such occurrences?? Time is not on our side when
it comes to electrical connections. On the other hand, if isn't broken, I wonder
about messing with it. Mess up and cause more problems. Thanks for the
