Air compressor and "that hose"

Rob,
I'm not sure who it was that made the additional access hole. But, the good
thing is to know it has been done before. I'm thinking it was done on a
PT38. I believe the 40' + units have a slightly different frame/cross frame
arrangement in that area. I've mentioned before to Randy that his skinny guy
(worker) would have to be REAL skinny to get up beside the transmission on a
38 footer.

When I replace mine I was able to do the job from the curb side of the coach
and one fitting from under side.

As I think about air compressor access...Someone on the sites cut a second
access panel to gain better access to the air compressor. Hopefully they
will chime in here, or point us to a doc. addressing the creation of the
second access panel.

I was going to have mine checked when I was in Yakima, Wa. with air
problems.
Tech searched around and finally found it on the passenger side frame
rail. It is almost impossible to get to.
A future project will be to get a new compressor and move it to a more
easily accessable site.

look nice. Did you fabricate them? Mine have the lead type material inside a
ring.
While my hoses look substantially better than yours I intend to change them out.
Does that bottom black hose go to the front of the compressor head?

Yes, that black (from oil & crud) hose goes to the top front of the
compressor. Of course, it is just beyond where the bulkhead is to
make it tough to get to.

The exhaust was replaced before I got the coach, can't speak about
the clamps.
