I AM GOING TO TRY SOME THIS OIL CHANGE. I DON'T DRIVE TOO MANY MILES
A YEAR, AND USUALLY ONLY END UP CHANGING ONCE A YEAR ANYWAY, BUT WILL SEE IF IT CUTS DOWN ON THE OIL CONSUMPTION. THANKS FOR THE INFO ON THE DELVAC SUPER 1300 DAY IN JAX FLA ,, 83 PT-40 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

My Walmart stopped stocking it for about a month. I sent a letter to
Corporate HQ and last week it was back on the shelf. It competes in price with their cheap oils and I have a feeling they made a bigger profit on it. If you look at the URLs I posted you will see that over 50% of the Sams clubs are now stocking it. Its in my local advance Auto and Pep boys also. Or you can order it on line I noticed from Sams Club. tom 1982 FC35 Vernon Center,NY At 10:47 PM 6/7/2005 -0400, you wrote: > >In a message dated 6/7/2005 10:24:32 A.M. And what do you use George for oil? If you took the time to read the URLs
that I posted you would see where it can be bought. tom 1982 FC35 Vernon Center,NY At 03:21 AM 6/8/2005 +0000, you wrote: >--- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, dspithaler@a... wrote: > > > > In a message dated 6/7/2005 10:24:32 A.M. Someone made a comment about only using 5W-30 oils in Honda Odysseys
because of the sulfur content. http://www.heavydutytrucking.com/2003/05/092b0305.asp. I chose not to use these light weight oils. They are touted as the long fuel mileage oils but I would rather use an oil that protects my engine and not be so thin it can protect the engine in high mileage driving. There have been numerous tests done on engine oils and the straight 30 weight oils stay consistent far longer then any multi weight oil. I believe that is why Mobil Super 1300 was produced. If it meets the Cat and Mack stringent requirements for diesels its good enough for my cars. As for the Catalytic converters arent they covered by Federal Law? tom 1982 FC35 Vernon Center,NY At 11:38 PM 6/7/2005 -0400, you wrote: > >In a message dated 6/7/2005 11:25:33 P.M. tom, there is a world of difference between a mack or cat engine and a honda
engine.the new car gas engines have tighter tolerances and a very thin ring package, low drag rings.this type of engine needs the 5-20 weight oils to properly lube the valves and the ring package.they were built to run the thin oils, thicker oils in these newer engines will lead to premature engine failure...i'm sure you knew that..randydupree93wb ----- Original Message ----- From: Tom Warner To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com Sent: Tuesday, June 07, 2005 11:45 PM Subject: Re: [WanderlodgeForum] Re: genset maintenance Someone made a comment about only using 5W-30 oils in Honda Odysseys because of the sulfur content. http://www.heavydutytrucking.com/2003/05/092b0305.asp. Randy,
Thank you so much for the very detailed response. I have been out of town for a few days and so just got this wonderful post. I intend to wade through the problem tomorrow--this is way beyond help, so I thank you again! I hate to start this again but, what is the best method to remove the
fuel filter from my Perkins/Kohler 12.5 KW, it looks like I need to remove the two lines at the top, and then remove the bolt underneath where the two lines were attached? Also where is the fuel pump located, so I can re-prime the lines. I assume I won't be able to just start the bus and the lines will re-prime automatically. Thanks Bruce Campbell 83'FCSB no new name yet "formerly Rainbow Chaser" sorry Arley! --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Jeff Miller" > Syn. oil has done well for me, be sure it is a diesel oil.
