I read some time ago that some one had the name of the company that was
make the antenna again. I looked in the files but I could not find it.
Would appreciate it if someone could supply me with that name and phone

Joe,
I talked to BB Parts today and they are now using a new round, 360 degree
coverage, antenna with an amp that tunes to the best signal electronically (that
means the micro-lizards inside the dome rotate the coat hanger for you!), My
original one came apart and the top (and several important internal components)
departed the pattern! I may put stall generator strips on top of the new one.
The new one is about $80.00 and does not use the rotor control we have. I should
have it by next week and will tell you how it works.

Did you get your antenna yet? If you did what kind is it? Does this
replace the round one they have on the early model? send picture if

Hi Joe,
Yes, the antenna came from BB several days ago. It is officially described
as a "5MS921 Omni State, amplified (boosts up to 20 dB in both VHF & UHF)
omni-directional (HDTV Ready)" round antenna that is 21" in Diameter (the
original was 22" in Dia.) and 1 inch high at the edge. It was made by
AntennaCraft, P.O. Box 1005, Burlington, Ia. 52601. It also mounts with four
bolts or screws. BB sells it for $86.83 and refers to it as part #0081595 and
it looks just like the original. I bought a cheaper one from Camping World that
never really performed up to par. I will check the coax and amp. power leads
before I finish the install. If I measure the resistance and compare it to a
separate external cable, I should be able to rule out the original coax cable as
a source of the weak signal.
I have to repair the aluminum base brackets for the lift arms and make a
few improvements, so I'll probably fire up the TIG welder after the holidays.
We'll be in the Bird from 22 Dec - 2 Jan going from Texas to Iowa and back to
South Padre and Kendalia for New Years (weather permitting). I have been just
finished fixing my Primus heating system in preparation for the Iowa weather.
Replaced one control panel and one pump relay and they work great!! So the
antenna was pushed down the list.

When I saw the post about the replacement TV antennas, I ignored it
because I had no use for it. Have someone parked next to me in an 67 BB
at the Indio Elks that needs one and I can't find the source in the
files or database. Would the person who has those available please
contact me?
