batteries
Morning Rich!

First cup of coffee, darker than the back side of the moon, wetter than
the bottom of a boat, and the baby coons are eating the cat food.
Batteries. Don't care what type you have, low discharge makes for
long life. If you pencil the numbers, adding a battery or two goes a long
way to extending the life of the whole group if you up your minimum discharge
point.
I have a real good friend who lives on the upper peninsula that is an
energy consultant for several really large corporations. He does energy
audits
and then makes changes in their entire operations for energy savings. He knows
batteries better than anyone else I've ever met.
Most of what I know comes from him.

Take your battery bank. If you increase the number of batteries
by 50% and raise
the lowest voltage that you allow them to be discharged to you will easily
double their
life. Just going from 12.0 volts to 12.5volts just doubled their life.
