There is a gentleman who is listed in the forum who makes a brass insert
for the fuel port that mostly prevents splashback. I say mostly because it is
not a complete solution since it will blow back some if you are running full
bore on high speed pump.
I like the terrycloth rag idea and it seems safe and practical.

I remember reading about that one ... but I can't find the email in
the archive...

I'll probably do the rag thing for now. The pressure equalization
tube as described by Jeff Miller is probably the "real" fix -- but is
a lot more work to install. (Rags, I have. Access to the top of the
fuel tank isn't easy.)

Billy's unit works fine as long as you are not on the highest output
of the nozzle. I run mine at high till I know that I am within 50
gallons of the top and then I cut it back to prevent the blow back.

still correct.

I spoke with him this morning, and it is important to know what year/
model BB you have as newer ones have a smaller fuel pipe and 87-89
(if I got that right) have a half-moon shaped ledge (to help hold the
nozzle) that would have to be removed to allow the baffle to fit.
