In our Database is a section titled "Member to Member", This is a
signup list that if you wish to be available to help a member in
trouble while they are on the road. You can list any method of help you
wish, tools, parking spot, mechanics you know, etc. Since we have less
then 10% of our members availing themselves, and since we have so many
new members, please include your information. If you need assistance in
editing any information, please let me know. Thanks for your help,

Harvey- my bank financed my 83. I then asked my credit union and they
refinanced it with a lower interest rate. I wonder if Ronnie Lamb at Bluebird
would
know?

The Home Equity is not a bad idea depending on how much you borrow & how
long you take to pay it off. Don't take 30 years. I did that on my 89 when I
bought it rather that taking money out of an account that I had that was
drawing
a little more interest than what I was paying to the bank. I was going to a
company that finances motorhomes until they screwed up the paper work. I'm
glad they did as I went to my bank & I had the check in less that a week with
less interest. If you stretch it out to many years you probably shouldn't buy
it. I did mine 5 years The payments were a little high but I just took on
what I could handle.

Yea a 30 year loan to pay off a 20 year old camper sounds like a good
Idea to me. It will have museum value when its paid for.

Harvey, I would think the prospect would/should have a relaionship
with a bank already. Lend him the money on his signature! I would
think that is the best route. There are plenty of lending
institutions that advertise in the FMCA,Good Sam mags regarding
financing. Call a dealer I am sure they can help, after all they do
it everyday, even folks with questionable credit!

If that person has exhausted those resources, you might want to move
on to continue finding a "real" buyer for your coach. Frankly, I can
not believe it is still on the market!

Yeah, makes it hard to sell when the banks don't have a book that goes back
beyond 1990.

Home equity line of credit makes buying MUCH easier, no hoops to jump thru with
the lenders, don't have to be concerned with coach book/loan values and the
interest is tax deductible. Knowing you are "Pre-qualified" for the money and
can write the check when you find the "perfect" coach makes the search more
enjoyable. Also, prepayment of loans is not illegal!
