tv replacment in 88 widebody
we are interested in replacing the tv up front in our 88 pt40. has anyone done
this? should
we concider the vibration when buying a new one? we want it to be bigger than
the original
and obviously the shape will be different so we will have to do a lot of
modifying of the two
overhead cabinets. or maybe just one can change and the other remain. any ideas
on
brackets? im sure the standard home brackets will be too light for going through
montanas
bumpy roads.

Robert,

I have an 88 FC and Tom S. has an 87 PT38.
We used this 19" Polaroid to replace the original 15" Panasonic.
It is not the biggest TV but adequate, It required little
modification, it is a solid installation ( no worry of falling on
your head), and most important we can still access the both over head
openings. see Picture, This is probably a cut and paste link.

put in a regular LCD in our bird five years ago..no vib
problems..Randy Dupree made an aluminium braket for me AND I also
safety wired it in....recommend u squeeze in the biggest you can
between the cabinets...our little 26 LCD is plenty big enough but we
could have squeezed in a 32 but thats when they cost a TON of money!!
cheap now.......I would squeeze the 32 inch in today......
good luck......I hear the PLASMA"S get HOT..........
85 degrees today in Melbourne..in big poker tourney today...need lots
of LUCK!!!!! ...crownpoker.com.au/aussiemillions....

Added two Sharp TVs. A 26" in the front & a 19" in the rear. To get
rid of the heat a small computer fan was added in the back of each.
Placed a dimmer switch to control the speed of the fan. TVs are
setting on the stands provided and bungee cords holds them in
position. They receive more programs & so far, it works.
