Investigation continues into last week’s deaths of a Hudson-area couple who were found shot to death in their Adams County home.

Harold Enander, 69, and his wife, Elva Sue Enander, 61, were found in their home Thursday morning by a friend who went to the house to check on them.

The friend, Lynda Higgins, is the wife of the First Baptist Church minister in Hudson, where the Enanders were active members.

When they didn’t attend a regular evening service Wednesday, Higgins went to the house to check on them. The couple had been married about four years and met through the church, where they both volunteered.

Spokeswoman Sgt. Candi Baker of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating the homicides, said there is no new information on the case.

Harold “Hap” Enander was the owner
of Aqua-Hot Heating Systems Inc. of Fort Lupton. The company produces heating systems used specifically for showers in RVs. He started with a few employees and the company has expanded to more than 60, according to the Fort Lupton News.

Hap Enander retired two years ago, but his children are still involved in the business.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Adams County Sheriff’s Office at (303) 654-1850.

Ernie, I called the Aqua Hot factory this past Monday and talked with
Tech Support. The guy I talked with said they were up and operating
and were accepting parts orders. I didn't press for more info.

This has happened to me twice.

The first time it was a bad control box, which currently is about
$785. The tech found it by using his test box. Used a tech in Denver
in 2007 mentioned on the forum by Pete, but he is no longer in business.

The second time (just before the SW Birds rally in Brenda, AZ) it was
2 bad bearings in the motor/fan/pump module- black unit that looks
like a fractional hp electric motor. The tech got it to run with his
test box and immediately said we had bad bearings. Also replaced fuel
line and overflow line to AquaHot plastic tank.

Be sure to check the radiator cap on top of the AquaHot stainless main
tank. Mine had corroded and the spring/washers/shaft were all loose,
it didn't work. I had lost most of the 50/50 antifreeze mixture and
it had to be refilled. If it had gone below the water tubes inside
the tank, the whole system could have been destroyed.

I found the mobile tech by calling a number of techs on the AquaHot
website.

The tech said the AquaHot needs to be run on a regular schedule (at
least once a month) to keep it operating well. I had not used it in
almost a year.
