Hi all

I had lost AC power from the generator at the Quartzsite rally and yesterday
I took the coach to Temecula Valley RV in Southern Ca.. They diagnosed the
regulator board bad. Gen only has 480 hours on it. I would not expect this
scenario from a powertech gen. Almost a $700 bill. Awaiting the shipping
of the board.

I wonder if the recall move had anything to do with this. One will never
know, as CCW would not take the coach in for service as they can no longer
work on them. Don't know why.

Bluebird Coachworks should have all the build prints for our coaches and I
would like to find a way to get hold of these. Any ideas how?
These are very important now and we should use all power to retrieve them.

Any more 450 owners out there?

Dan,

Is the regulator mounted w/in the soundproof enclosure with the
diesel generator? (I believe it is). I seem to recall someone
mentioning that they weren't too pleased with the genny airflow post
recall. You may want to check the Powertech manual installation
instructions to see if sufficient air flow was provided. Excessive
heat could be the cause of failure. (Lots of speculation on my
part).

I'd certainly take this up with PowerTech to see if there is a warranty that they will honor.
