Polarity indicator removal/replacement 1980 FC33
Trying to pull the polarity indicator to cure the GFCI trip problem. Pulled the
screws easy enough, but it doesn't want to come out. No rear access as far as I
can tell. Managed to destroy the voltmeter on one in my clumsy attempts. Any
tips or tricks? Should I just plan on completely replacing them both?

I had a similar problem and got it out by removing the entire panel but the way
it finally came off, I'm not sure I'd ever get it back in.

I bought one of the Progressive surge protectors w/ indicator and may put the
indicator in the same place.

There are SO MANY things that you nearly have to destroy to remove.

Gary, I was going to replace my generator remote start switch in that panel. After I took the panel off the wall and saw all that wiring, I thought that my generator switch on the upper dash works just fine.
