Need Video Control Center
Howdy.
I need to replace the Video Control Center in our 1993 WL. The box is old and the switches are electrically noisy. Anyone know where I can get one of those control centers? Has anyone rebuilt theirs? If so, please let me know how you did it, where did you get the parts, etc?

I uploaded a photo of this control center to our Photos section. Couldn't figure out how to attach it to this message.

TIA,
Jack Pearce

I have one that I took out but I am sure it is as degraded as the one you intend
to replace. With modern appliances you should not need the gateway box.they
will render many of the multifunction remotes useless. I would bet if you follow
the Direct tv reciever's 'how to wire' set up you will have everything you need
without using the gateway selector box. also if direct tv is your sat provider,
you can order a radio control reciever where you will not need line of sight to
the direct tv box and you can use the remote outside to control the bay tv even
with the coach door closed. Radio Shack has those box's for less tha $20.

We use our video control center to control seven inputs to two outputs.
We have a TV in the bedroom and a TV in the living room. I need to able
to control roof antenna, satellite one, satellite two, cable one, cable
two, DVR and video tape independently, for the two TVs. Regarding the
Dish TV receiver's "how to wire" set up -- I found that a little
inadequate.

Satellite1 and Satellite2 if these are roofmount1 and portable2, you may need a
switch prior to the Direct-Dish receiver for a choice there ( I dont uderstand
why I was told not to have both hooked up or a dead end path?)

for all the other inputs, no swith is needed

I have a set of sony dvd/vcr players for each tv which makes the required RF
control usable.

the tv antenna can be hooked up to both sets without a need to disconnect the
other or disconnect while not in use.

the best way to set it up is to diagram a flow chart. it may well be that you
will need to input several items thru the dvr or vcr prior to the direct/dish
converter input.

older tv's have few inputs. what you see is often what input on the link to the
monitor has power and signal.
