Aquahot leaked, How would you repair bay floor?

Rich,

No nothing as nice as that. If it had a non permeable medium under it I would
not have to replace the Ozite. The Ozite carpet is still under the Aquahot, I
cut around the perimeter of the Aquahot and removed everything from it up to the
Joey bed on the curb side. It's not the fix I would like to do but I've spent
more time working on her than I have playing with her so on this one a quick fix
is in order. Besides this is the bay that gets all the hoses and electric lines
stored in it and half the time their either wet or dirty or both so I'm not real
keen on making it pretty just practical. Besides I'm startin the repair on the
A/C compressor bracket on the
S-60 tomorrow so times a wastin! LOL

use carpet in that bay but went with a thick, black vinyl tile/linoleum. They
did the same in the bay forward of that with the waterpumps, filter, etc. and to

Kurt,

Before replacing the carpet go to your local heating oil supplier or plumbing
supply shop and get a 16 oz container of OdorOut, the powder heating oil
companies use on minor oil spills in homes. Since you can't get the carpet out
from under the AquaHot, dissolve some powder in water and soak the carpet. When
dry (pretty quickly if using the AquaHot) most of the odor will be gone. Repeat
if necessary. OdorOut is usually available at heating/plumbing wholesalers for
about $6.00 - $8.00.
