Way cool that you took the time to compose an epilogue to your thread,
thoughtful.
if they offer any $ for the out of production core, then they are rebuildable
via parts. I have a air-fan-clutch that is a BorgWarner that was not supported
by any rebuild kit. I took the fan parts to a brake liner rebuilder (L&M
Friction materials RiversideCA)and matched all the orings and bearings up at
Applied bearing in Corona Ca. One other method is to find a commercial
truck/bigrig parts store and ask if they can match up the kit close. a typical
rebuild kit cost about $125.00

Its just a SPST switch in parallel with the water temperature sensor switch on
the engine.

I would estimate two custom fabbed parts and their installation to be upwards of
