Gas springs for compartment doors
I'm having some issues trying to find the correct replacements for the cargo bay
and interior gas springs.

I have the numbers FMR115 and FBN12C off the existing ones, but they don't cross
reference anywhere

I know that the H9412 is a replacement for the interior ... but what about the
exterior one ? What kind of thrust lbs should I use ?

It's an '86 PT40 ...

THANKS !!

Orr and Orr is the place to got for these...

http://www.orrorr.com/

Give them a call.  I replaced pretty much all of them on my '87 PT40 with springs from them.

Gas springs for compartment doors
Greetings:

Look for the force numbers on yours in the middle of the sequence of digits near
the "F" number: on my exterior Stabilus units a typical example is "1657EE 0500N
307/09 A 5" which is a 500 Newton (metric unit of force) or about 110 lbs unit.

The interior springs on my '87 were replaced by a previous owner with Supra 9"
35lb units. I recently replaced the exterior springs with FBN12K 500 Newton
(~110 lb) Stabilus units from Orr and Orr.
