Stephen: Is there anyone around that can rejuvinate the circuit boards for the
Primus? What about the new parts cost. Both of my units now are refusing to
shut off when they are running.

Primus heat
Thanks all for your input, I do like the system, have had a few problems over
the years but was always able to solve them by contacting Mark Dexter, the guy
who sold the system in the US, I recently tryed to call him but the numbers I
have wouldn't go through. My pump went out a couple years ago and I bought one
from Mark, couldn't get the old one out so am pumping through the old one,
recently discovered you can get at the old pump by removing the chassis
batteries, thats my next project. Lee Brown 94WB40

I changed out the thermistors about a year ago. Boiler keeps going along with
the fan and pump. The night before last, the system was operating just fine.
When I fired it up last night, it would not shut down no matter what setting the
dial was on.

What is the problem that prevents the Primus Boards from being rejuvinated? If
they were manufactured in the first place, which we know they were, then why
can't they be repaired? Is there someone that has a schematic of the board?

Primus heat
I do not have a schematic of the board and yes we know who manufactured the
board but they ceased production or were bought out or went bust in 1995
There is a liability problem if the present owner provides the wiring schematic
and I have tried to obtain it and of course they made money selling new parts
To the best of my knowledge there is no test equipment to test or exercise the
boards or I would have it
The best bet is to replace the parts when they become defective they are sealed
in the box and opening same usually destroys it or the circuit board again I
have tried without to much success
it maybe something we have to learn to live with
