Does anybody know where the engine preheat switch on an '88 wide body
is? I had an '84 with a switch in the rear hanging closet but there
isn't one in the '88. The diesel guys say there is a block heater and
it is hardwired somewhere. Any good ideas?

Thanks,

Mine is controlled by a breaker in the bedroom breaker panel. I'm not aware
of a switch in the circuit.

Our 110 Volt block heater is only controlled by a circuit breaker in
the AC load center panel. Some FC's had a switch in the passenger
seat area, lower left floor panel. Do not know if this would apply
to your 88 WLWB.

The engine heat switch on my 88 xxv wanderlodge is in the main breaker
panel in the bedroom. It is label as the engine heat with the junction
box on the front right side wall in the engine compartment. I replaced
mine about two years ago at Williams Diesel, about a $100.00 charge
and 30 minutes if I remember correctly.

I found it. It is in the breaker box as advertized.

Thanks
