Thanks Wes, that helps a great deal. To enable 12v monitoring
of the generator start battery, is a connection from E4 to E24
sufficient?

David, you also need a connection from your generator cranking battery
to terminal E23.

Once that is done, the Gencon can monitor the Generator cranking
battery.

Hi Terry- it was still plugged into shore power. I had changed the
winter/summer switch to winter to circulate some more antifreeze. Shut down the
engine
and the lites stayed on. Just went and turned the winter/summer switch back to
summer- lites went out. Weird. Keeping an eye on temps and weather. Will be
stocking up on groceries this coming week, in prep of my trip back to Texas. It
was 17 degrees here this am.

Tom, when the temps get low, I turn on my block heater. If I didn't then she
would crank and choke and spew all kinds of smoke till she cleared her throat.
The block heater works so well, that there is virtually no smoke and a whole
lot easier on her "innards", too. Haven't made the tool, yet- with temps in
the low 20's, just checking air presure on my tires- getting ready for the trip
south- has been an ordeal. I hate cold weather.

Hi Ernie. Did you unhook your shore power before you started the
engine? Mine did the same thing once & I unhooked the shore power, then
re started the engine & all the warning lights went off. Must be a
Montana thing? Did you stay warm last night? Was -2 here at the house
this am. Supposed to get colder by Tuesday.

Ernie the Bird is trying to tell you to get out of the snow and get
to Texas and warm weather. How did it start in the cold weather and
did you have to start the engine heater first? Did you make an oil
change tool yet? Was talking to another forum member last night and
he seemed to think I could use it to add antifreeze. Going to check
it today and see if it will work. Was really dreading having to pour
27 1/2 gallons of antifreeze solution into that tiny hole above the rear door.

Obviously some sort of winter gremlin. Now that you mention the
winter/summer switch, I think mine was turned on too when the same thing
happened to me. The warning lights may share some circuits (or ground)
with that circuit?

Is Brenda staying with you for the return to TX or is she flying back
this week? Would like to get together with you two before she leaves if
you have any time.
